Homemade French Brioche recipe

Among French viennoiseries, the brioche is definitely the more renown. This classic can be eaten both for breakfast or at tea time, alone or with jam and butter. Discover the pleasures of a French breakfast with this delicious homemade brioche recipe.

Preparation time: 10 minutes + 4 hours rest for the dough
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Difficulty: Medium
Ingredients (for 1 brioche):
- 250 gr of flour
- 100 gr of butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of brewer’s yeast powder, diluted in 2 tablespoon of hot milk
- 3 tablespoons of milk
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 pinch of salt

Put the flour into a bowl and put a well in the middle. Put in the well the butter, the eggs, the brewer’s yeast, the milk, the sugar and the salt. Mix all the ingredients together, first with a spoon and then with your hands. Knead the dough until it becomes compact and not sticky, if necessary add more flour.

Once the dough is ready, leave it to grow for 4 hours.

Put the dough into a tin and put it in the oven at thermostat 160 degrees for around 25 minutes.

Tip: You can add a tablespoon of orange blossom water to give an orange test to your brioche.
