French dressing or « vinaigrette » recipe

You have always wanted to know the secrets of French dressing….shutttt here it is on My French Cooking!! But don’t tell no one, it is so simple and yummy that you have to keep it for yourself to surprise your guests, without any efforts ;)

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: Very easy
Ingredients (for 2 persons):
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoon of vinegar
- 2 tablespoon of vegetal oil
- Salt, pepper
- Fresh parsley or chives

Put the mustard in a bowl and mix it with the vinegarr. Then add the vegetal oil, and mix until the dressing thickens.

Season with salt and pepper and sparkle some fresh chopped parsley or chives.

Letuce, bacon, tomatoes and eggs salad

Let’s take opportunity of the extend summer to eat a delicious salad! In this one, I put some letuce, bacon, tomatoes and eggs. Feel free to add some nuts to give it a more « autumn » flavour!

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Difficulty: Very easy
Ingredients (for 2 person):
- 1 egg
- 1 tomato
- 150 gr of bacon dices
- Letuce
- 1 slice of bread
For the French dressing:
- ½ tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Salt, pepper

Put the egg to cook into a pan of hot water for 10 minutes.
Put the bacon dices to brown into a pan for 3 minutes.
Toast the bread.
In the meantime, arrange the letuce in a plate and add the tomato cut into slices.
When the egg is cooked, peel it and cut it into slices. Add it to the salad.
Sparkle the bacon dices and add the bread cut into dices.

For the French dressing:
Put the mustard into a bowl and mix it with the vinegar. Then add the oil and mix the French dressing until the sauce is consistent.

Pour the French dressing on the salad and enjoy!

Tip: You can snip and sparkle some chive to enhance the taste of this salad.

Refreshing salad with tomatoes and cucumber

During warm days, salad is the best dish to eat! It is refreshing, colourful, and good for your weight! You can eat it as a starter or to accompany barbecues. You can also easily eat it at work during lunchtime (it’s much better than a sandwich!). Here is my refreshing salad recipe, involving tomatoes, cucumber and corn.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Difficulty: Very  Easy

Ingredients (for 1 person):

-          1 tomato

-          ¼ cucumber

-          1 handful of corn

-          1 handful of mixed leaves

-          1 slice of cooked ham

-          1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar

-          1 teaspoon of olive oil

-          A pinch of salt, pepper and aromatic herbs

Cut into dices the tomato, the cucumber and the ham. Put the leaves into a plate and add all the ingredients. Season with the balsamic vinegar, olive oil and the herbs.
