During Carnival, in France, we are baking some delicious beignets savoured with blossom flower. They are more or less dry regarding the recipe. This ones are smooth and you gonna love them!

Cooking time: 20 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients (for 4 people):
- 500g of flour
- 100 gr of butter
- 125 gr of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of blossom flower water
- 2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 150 ml of double cream
- 1 pinch of salt
- Vegetal oil for frying
- Icing sugar for decoration
Melt the butter to make it smooth. Put the flour in a bowl and add all the ingredients in the centre of the flour. Mix the dough well to obtain an airy and light batter. Leave for at least 2 hour, preferably near a heater, so the dough can rise.
Roll out the dough about 1cm thick, and cut into squares or circles. Fry in oil over a medium heat until golden. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
These beignets can be eaten hot or cold. You can also try them dunked in a cup of tea or coffee. It’s delicious!
