Tomatoes and basil bruschetta

Another non french recipe on My French Cooking!! Well, for my defense, this recipe is very popular in South of France, even from Italian origins :-) And with the return of sunny days, this is a fresh and tasty appetiser, perfect among salads and grilled meat.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: very easy
Ingredients (for 2 bruschettas):
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/4 garlic glove
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- salt, pepper

Toast the bread.

In the meantime, cut the tomatoes into small dices and put them into a bowl. Add the garlic sliced, the basil leaves thinly cut and the olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

Put the bread on a plate and set on it the tomato mixture. You can decorate with a basil leaf.

Tip: Leave the tomatoe mixture to rest for 30 minutes to give time to the flavours to mix together.
