Another non french recipe on My French Cooking!! Well, for my defense, this recipe is very popular in South of France, even from Italian origins
And with the return of sunny days, this is a fresh and tasty appetiser, perfect among salads and grilled meat.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: very easy
Ingredients (for 2 bruschettas):
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/4 garlic glove
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- salt, pepper
Toast the bread.
In the meantime, cut the tomatoes into small dices and put them into a bowl. Add the garlic sliced, the basil leaves thinly cut and the olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Put the bread on a plate and set on it the tomato mixture. You can decorate with a basil leaf.
Tip: Leave the tomatoe mixture to rest for 30 minutes to give time to the flavours to mix together.
